Our lives are filled with emotions. Emotions have the power to lift us up and the capacity to leave us distraught. In many ways, the quality of our days and our relationships are determined by the emotions we feel and our ability to manage them. In this session called Emotions and the Body, you will explore an often-overlooked key to managing your emotions: the felt sense. We will guide you through practices like Progressive Relaxation, Identifying Your Stress Profile, and the Body Scan, so that you can tune into the felt sense of your body and understand the cues it is giving you. By the end of the session, you will have the tools you need to notice emotions as they arise and name them to tame them, learning to ride the waves of emotions before they negatively impact you or those around you.
