It is often said that humans are resilient. This resilience gives us the ability to cope with stress and hardship and the strength to remake ourselves after it. While we all have a certain amount of resilience, it is also a skill we can cultivate. In this session called Approaching the Difficult, we will examine how the tools of mindful awareness can help us increase the sense of resilience we feel amidst life’s adversities. Using the acronym and practice of ACE, we will experience how to approach challenging emotions with Awareness, Compassion, and a willingness to Explore. By the end of the session, you will understand how you can find more stability and clarity amidst the ebb and flow of life, giving you a greater sense of confidence, strength, and resilience.

Learning how to wake up has helped me become more present and aware of my surroundings. I started practicing with my morning routine and it has helped me to start each day off on a positive note and set the tone. I don't feel so rushed and stressed.”
